Embracing a new year 2008

(the idea of me writing this long post comes from terri's post)

2007 is coming to an end and 2008 is approaching.
just 2 more days...

This year really passed especially fast...
i still can remember this year certain events that had happen... and as i browse through my blog of posts over this year...

Jan:
ended my 2nd year in poly.
my ex-cg W384 disbanded and i go to my new cg E369.

Feb:
class chalet.
went for my attachment and hoping so much to go back to sch again.

Mar:
still having my attachment... haha...

Apr:
pos trainings.
sang in choir for Benny Hinn crusade.

May:
training hard for pos and had our performance.
Emerge.

June:
Post-POS BBQ at rubez house.
Enter into chorus board ministry.
zone camp.

Aug:
i cut my long hair to short hair.
i got water baptised on 25 Aug.

Sep:
SP POS chalet.
SPC started.

Oct:
celebrated terri birthday.

Nov:
SPC 1st and 2nd paid performances.
celebrated wp's and raymond's birthday.
i went for choir audition.

Dec:
my dear cg members went into zone singing competition final and eugene got the 1st. E369 cg multiplication.
1st time serving in choir ministry on stage.
Christmas.
My birthday.
Zone appreciation night.


this year hasn't be a easy year for me. Even though i didn't acheived a lot of my goals that was set at the beginning of this year, but i am definitely glad because it's a year of stretching and growth and opportunities. This year i am rise up as a cg helper and entered my long desired ministry.

i love all my friends who have gone through thicks and thins, tears and joy with me throughout this year...
E369 + my besties in class + SPC + some individual ones...
they are really people who are dear to me.

In the coming year 2008, i believe there will be more and greater things coming to me.
A time to set new resolutions and goals.
A year of greater breakthrough.
A year that i going to graduate from polytechnic and go into workforce.

.

we have been playing truth or dare for the past few days... omg... all the secrets are outta! so many couples might have formed in SPC. at least we got to know one another more, speak the truth about one another as we shared one another strengths and weaknesses. it's so niceee to go out with ya all...

today we played truth or dare again. omg... it's so pai sei can? to say those things out. haha.. but nothing to hide actually since it is already not a secret... = )

SPC thanksgiving @ edmund house

SPC thanksgiving day!!! it was a fun and nice time of gathering and games and foods and prizes presentation. i received Most Faithful Award!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!

oh man, so fast it is christmas already! it has been a great time with going for all the services, carnivals, taking care of friends, hanging out with the usual SPC people... still got 2 services to go!

Tue: services, gg out with meeting out SPC friends
Wed: SPC thanksgiving day
Fri: zone appreciation night
Sat: my birthday, service

yesterday (sunday) in the afternoon, i had caroling at esplanade.. wp, ray, ed, zh, shalynne, janice and few other zone members came to support. thanks guys! = ) after caroling, the 5 of us went to marina square for dinner. i asked along sha n jan, so all of us sat together. so coool can? my cg leader and member sit down together and eat dinner with my SPC cum church friends. so they got to know who is my cgl and my cgl got to know who i always hang out with. after dinner, wp, ray, zh, gen, hw and i went to hk cafe to chill. we did the worst thing there siol!! they started to play truth or dare!! omg!!! hmmm, so what happen... you all know i know hoh... =X

today (monday) in the afternoon met out with raymond and weipin a while at ps to shop around. then i went to meet my members and friends at bugis. and going bugis street today was havoc. so crowded la... i was there a while then i go expo already. got to serve in choir for service today... i love it man! and today all my cg friends (5 people) responded to altar call!!! PTL!!! after service, had dinner at tampines with my cg at burget king. and i shared with my leader "something". it was quite an positive reply.

sianzz.. we planned to go count down for christmas supposedly but end up not much people going then cancelled.....

my phone keep on "deng deng deng, deng deng deng" with christmas greeting messages...

btw, i want to say about my wishlist... maybe hint hint those who wants to buy gift for me but haven't buy yet. this is my ranking in order for the few items that i really hope to have and what is still available for you all to get... so won't crash...

i think the people sure had lots of fun at ben & jerry yesterday after training. you all played truth or dare... omg!! haha.. a lot of secrets and shocking answers revealed i think so...

it's holiday now for but not enjoying. we have 4-5 assignments to rush which are all due very shortly after school reopen. everyday need to go back to school. but CHRISTMAS is coming!! A time of stretching in our capacity. need to attend 4 services, serve ministries for all days, time of inviting friends and take care of them. it'll be a long weekend. but i am looking forward to it and of course SPC thanksgiving on the 26th. and my birthday in 11 days!

today i went to trim my hair.. not much difference la... just layered it. i hope to dye and highlight my hair! in the same time i want to save money... still considering...

i am stuck for 1 week plus at episode 22 season 1 for heroes. i missing it man!

Today pst kong preached a message that really touched and convicted my heart to hold on to the dreams and visions that i have and have faith for it.

after service, cg went to changi airport to fellowship. I'm lovin' it!!! lols... ya, you know what's that right? today a lot of members not there for service. rachel, geraldine, amanda and cherlyn. amanda and cherlyn went overseas.. miss all their laughters la! = )
after that i went to meet the ray, zhihao and weipin to go home together. when i reached there, it was like going 11pm already. so i can only meet them at orchard just to go home together.

Thanks to ray n ed for accompanying me to go buy shirt yesterday... i know bugis is not a place for ed, and it's a stuffy place.. but you all still accompany me. thanks! = )

nice fellowshipping and all the chattings with ray yesterday. we walk around bugis junction and ate dinner at pasta mania using his vouchers to pay part of my food. lol.. but i still need to pay 10 plus for dinner. ex siol!! ate pasta and we shared pizza, and i eat until super full... pizza hut's pizza is still the best can? lols.. then we went taka to walk around to shop for "christmas present" and went kino to browse jap magazine on hairstyle for terri. we took photos on different hairstyles wanted to give terri, but in the end she had already CHOPPED her hair. haaha..

omg... that's so true! yesterday it was a loud bang as i reached home at 2.30am from cgm. We had our multiplication cg and cg appreciation night yesterday. it ended quite late and we only start our potluck 11 plus pm. I reached home super late yesterday so i got uber big scoldings and nasty words from my parents. as i had said recently i have more things to commit and so i am seldom at home early. so yesterday i received loads of nasty and disturb words from my parents. i do feel angry to certain extent as i reasoned in my heart with what they had said. i just couldn't accept certain things that they said and acted. i do have wrongs for not being accountable to them when i go out until late at night and for not at home often too. so my father confiscated my OLD atm card, it's ok. he gave me curfew again. he said that i always use com, somehow restricted me from using my laptop.. then my mum scolded me over few things.

it's been a long time i got this kind of thing. just like e above horoscope had said. yesterday night i was frustrated and sad about it. i began to lift up to God, He began bring comfort and peace.

everything will be alright~

Yesterday E369 had multiplied. it was really a time of tears and laughters. saw the videos that the members had done for few days with lotsa effort, exchanged gifts and shared about one another. Amanda was so sweet that she gave me early birthday present as she thought i won't be same cg as her... i think E369 is just the best cg! and shalynne is the best ever cgl! haha.. after cg multiply, i really got to rise up even more to do more things for cg, and also learn to press into my leader life more!! i just simply love you all!! a cell group that is really made up of people of different character and background can come together and bring such a great love and atmosphere in this cg!

Yesterday night i had some conflicts with my brother. not really conflict but he was just unhappy about me. i didn't want to explain anything to him either. Yesterday at 2 plus am, he was still using my laptop to practice guitar as he got to play for cg today. so i told him to practice tomorrow. then he scolded me that i always hog on to the laptop and bring it out very often to chat with my friends and do unecessary things. he also said that i everyday go out with friends and come home late at night and treat home like hotel. come on!! you don't have cca and ministry commitment can? out of the 7 days, i only have 2 days, sometimes 1 day to go out with friends can? recently i have been bringing my laptop to school because i got fyp lessons, got to do fyp can?

but i do admit i didn't balance out my time for friends, family and church. sometimes even the 2 days that i am free, i will spend it with my friends, especially SPC friends. i hardly spend time with my family. For the coming year, i think i got to really adjust it and make effort to spend more time with my family.

today is my first time serving in choir ministry... serve in JW english & chinese service. i felt really in love and excited to serve in choir ministry. it's so niceee... worship God with my voice... even i know my singing wasn't really very good.

after finish serving, i went to meet raymond, gen, edmund, weipin & zhi hao. we went PS and shop around. had subway as our dinner... love subway man~ zhi hao left and then we went to watch heros... had a super nicee day today..
really love going out with these SPC cum POS's brothers and sisters!

shopping at jp...
drinking my favourite honey milk tea...

got ps by SPC people for morning breakfast and movie session today... esp ED ANGELS!! he gonna owe us drinks and meals.
no sunday service back at JW...

but my sunday is still lovely!!

Praise God!

for the past 2 days, your words and actions had hurt me big time. i thought our friendship would end up that way. i thought you could understand but you could not. but i am happy that finally you had and you are ok now.

this morning as everything came to my sight, my tears rolled down uncontrollably with joy.

my day is brightened up by god & you all

it's been a long time since my saturday i can wake up at 11-12nn, watch tv and have breakfast, prepare at 2pm, leave house at 3pm, reach expo at 4pm...

today i very sad la... didn't go so well in the beginning...

1) screwed up as i was doing the chorus board for today zone prayer meeting. keep forgeting this and that.

2) i went to buy birthday cake together with my 2 members today after pm. we walk 2 rounds of central and can't find a decent cake. then in the end go dhouby ghaut. and we were late for service la!!! i didn't know my 2 members actually going to have bs with my cgl at 4.30pm. i still bring them to go buy cake with me. when we bought cake and about to leave ps at 4.15 then they tell me they got bs. omg!! if i knew it, i wouldn't have ask them to go with me. in the end, they can't make it for bs and we were late for service. when we reach the hall and faster settle down for service, my cgl look at me... yeah la, i am responsible for it since i was appointed by my cgl to settle the cake.

haiss.. =(

but God presence today make me smile.. and today after service fellowship with gen, edmund, raymond, zhihao, weipin and clarence had brightened my day! = )
