The days of SOT were really the best...

It really pass so fast that everything seems like yesterday. I can still remember last year i was telling the people around me that i hoped to go SOT in 2008. Got once, i met up with MJ and he discussed about my future plans with me and my plan of going SOT.

April 7 - August 24, 2008

Orientation Day - The day we got to know one another. Everything was so freshed and new. We ran around Singapore as a team, had alot fun even in the end of the day we were tired. We did a "ta ta ku"cheer together during the night steamboat dinner. We eventually got 3rd prize for that day event.

The first few weeks of school were memoriable. Presence of God was so strong, our hearts were excited, Pastors layed hands on us. Our hearts gradually open up and our walk with God grows!

Everyday we had school from 8.45am to 1pm. We were taught on the various BS.. Getting started, Fivefold ministry, Cultural mandate, Home cellgroup leadership etc.. all the way to Theology. I could literally remember all the laughter and fun we all had during lessons, especially pastor ming lessons. We had various pratical lessons to prophesy, giving word of wisdom and knowledge to one another. We had 12 rounds of mock cellgroup tests, 5 rounds of preaching tests, 11 examinations, 10 assignments. All these really challenged me to step out in faith to do something that i had never done before.

The one overnight prayer meeting that we had together was really wonderful and funny. We shared about how we were so tired and literally dozing off during the prayer meeting... but all of us had made it through!

The very thing that really left a very strong impression in my heart is the 3 days 2 nights Kota Kinabalu mission trip. We were thrown to run the whole service of their mini emerge. Our team was in-charge on the drama production. We produced our own script, coordinated the front stage and the back stage, lightings, sound, and acted in the drama. We had never done that before at then. We slept so little and make sure everything runs well. By the grace of God, people there were touched and had many decisions.

Towards the end of the whole course, it was privilege to have pastor kong back to teach us. He gave his time for us. We had Q&A sessions with him to know about his life, learned and caught his spirit. He is really our spiritual father who cares for our relationship lives. Just like kexin had said, the whole SOT course is like a mass matchmaking session. Pastor kong urged all of us again and again to find a partner and get married early. The staffs did their best to match make for us!

On our graduation dinner...

Surprise mass dance! Guys went up to the girls to partner up for dance. We went around camwhoring to retain the beautiful faces in our memories. Lights off and Firework!!(actually power tripped...)

We went to esplanade after that... our last fellowship together... sat down along the river and chat until early in the morning almost 2am. Bernard and i took a long bus journey back home which doesn't end up at the right places.

Last but not least...

throwing of mortar board!!! The day finally came when we had to wear the graduation robe and the mortar board. Going up on stage to receive the certificate and pastor kong shifted our testle. I am touched by all the gifts and supports and encouragements from my cellgroup members and friends who came on that day. Especially my beloved connect group members, all came that day... the soft toy sunflower that cherlyn gave me, the bouquet of flower with chocolate and bear that lingli and minghui gave me. The beautiful "umbrella, ella ella eh eh" that cg gave (pink colour chose by cher, designed by alicia)... so sweet of them!

SOT is really the best part of my life. It's where my capacity has expanded.. Broken dreams and visions restored.. My future is clearer.. My connect group expanded.. Grace given to me to connect with them.. Faith has increased in my life...

Every single member of team 21 are lovesss!!! Something that i only can have once in a lifetime has spent with all of these people. I will remember them all... Let's not forget one another till eternity...

there's no 8.45am to 1pm lesson.
there's no praise and worship everyday together.
there's no sitting together with all of them to hear pastors preach.
there's no seeing one another falling asleep.
there's no poking of one another up to keep awake.
there's no chionging to opposite coffee shop for 30 min breakfast.
there's no chionging of assignments even after it's late.

so gonna miss it a lot a lot!!!

Today i finally resume to work after 1 week plus. There were 3 of us... chanel, rubez and i. So few cars and customers, we slacked like don't know what. Sat there chatting, sms-ing etc... After work, rubez and i went to anchorpoint to eat dinner (KFC) and studied there. i was so distracted with my laptop infront of me and on phone. lols... Rubez and i chatted a lot of things, especially relationship. Well, i kept pulling **** and her together!!! And she gave me the -_- look!! hahahaha! :D

Tomorrow gonna have homiletics and FFM 1&2 tests! Mannnn! I only studied 2 lessons of homiletics and i feeling ZZZZZZ now liao... Candice, ARISE!!!!!

On monday, sha shared with me a revelation to encourage me about my connect group when i told her it's so stressful.

A revelation of comparing a very good posh car and a not so gd car. The very good car is beautiful, big... but such a good car, the engine has to be started and on for 15 minutes every single day. It need to be maintain and take very good care about it. If any one of the day, the engine wasn't run, the car will spoil. However, for the old and average car, it doesn't need to be so well taken care of. Even you leave it there and never drive for few days, 1 week, it will still be alright.

So it's like our spiritual life and ministry. When our ministry is small or you only have small number of people to take care of, we can have an average spiritual life to handle and maintain it. But when our ministry or people grows big, we need to really take care and increase our spiritual life and capacity, so that we can handle the ministry and people.

Wow!!! It really convicted me that i should really build up my spiritual life even more. My capacity and heart seriously need to be enlarged to contain 10 people.

Sometimes i feel like not doing it and i will procrastinate in doing follow up and everything. God spoke to me that these people can come, and these people can leave too. Don't take these people for granted and think that they will be here all the time. I have to really work for it, build relationship with everyone of them, so that these people continue to stay and grow.
it's only 10 people now and i am feeling so difficult already.
